About West End
West End is a suburb of the inner south of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The suburb had recorded a population of 9,474 at the 2016 census.

History of West End
West End was called after early English immigrants, who considered the region symbolic of London`s West End.
Before the arrival of Europeans in the West End, the land around the upper portion of Musgrave Park was Brisbane State High School. The school now stands as an aboriginal camp. Because of the discriminatory policy of dividing European immigrants from the Jagera and Turrbal people, the streets in both the West End and Spring Hill were named Boundary Streets.
