About Holland Park
Holland Park and Holland Park West is a suburb that lies north-east and south-west of Logan Road.
In 1967, both became known as Holland Park. Their boundary was extended across the South East Freeway into Tarragindi. The suburb is approximately 6 km south-east of central Brisbane.
History of Holland Park
Holland Park is named after Julius Holland, an early settler who owned a large area of scrubland. Julius Holland sold "Holland Estate" making the extensive areas now comprehensively known as Holland Park.
By the late 1960s, Holland Park and Holland Park West were fully developed, with a combined population of about 20,000.

There are several parks in the suburb.
This includes Coonara Street Park, Ray Lynch Park, Gibson Place Park, and Glindemann Park. The Glindemann incorporates 3 mini play areas – two for little ones and for big kids. It includes a half basketball court, learner`s skateboard ramp, and as well as play areas such as the percussion zone with xylophone and timpani drums.
